We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Unit at LewisGale Hospital Alleghany. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and personal preferences.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, using clear and concise language to ensure understanding and promote positive outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Associate's degree in nursing or higher.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or West Virginia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ACLS within 6 months.
- PALS and CPI training preferred.
