Position Overview:

The Classroom Support Professional will provide critical support to the teaching staff at the Lincoln-Gavin School, ensuring a smooth and efficient learning environment for students.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000, based on industry standards and location.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instructional support to students, including administering tests, scoring, and recording results.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reinforce learning for individual students, in collaboration with the teaching staff.
  • Provide guidance on the use of educational equipment and materials, and assist students in mastering these tools.
  • Manage classroom materials, including distributing and collecting workbooks, papers, and other resources.
  • Supervise students during various activities, including emergency drills, assembly, play periods, and field trips.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and other relevant data.
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff to develop and implement plans to support students with diverse needs.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the teaching staff and school administration.

Requirements:

  • Paraprofessional certification from the State of Illinois, with registration in Region 07 South Cook ISC4.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality support to students and staff.
