Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and HVAC systems.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics using specialized tools and equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections and provide accurate assessments of vehicle conditions.
- Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks comply with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and labor hours.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair needs, options, and costs.
- Mentor and assist junior mechanics and apprentices as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in automotive repair preferred.
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an auto mechanic, with a focus on complex diagnostics and repairs.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment, including OBD-II scanners, multimeters, and specialty tools.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical, and HVAC.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical information to customers.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
