About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Mental Health Specialist to join our team at the Defense Health Agency. This role will involve conducting biopsychosocial evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as providing individual and group psychological counseling.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs, including interviews, observations, and testing.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
  • Provide ongoing therapy sessions, either one-on-one or in group settings, to help patients manage their mental health challenges.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • A Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
  • A minimum of one year of specialized experience in conducting biopsychosocial evaluations, providing psychological counseling, and developing behavioral health treatment plans.
  • A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.

What We Offer

This is a very competitive position with a salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including paid time off, medical benefits, student loan repayments, and a retirement package with Thrift Savings Plan.
