Job Title: Financial Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Counselor to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a Financial Counselor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial well-being of our patients and the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The Financial Counselor will be responsible for assessing and collecting patient liabilities, including copays, deductibles, co-insurance, and balances after financial assistance. This individual will utilize face-to-face communication with patients during their stay to collect the estimated patient liability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and collect patient liabilities, including copays, deductibles, co-insurance, and balances after financial assistance.
  • Utilize face-to-face communication with patients during their stay to collect the estimated patient liability.
  • Work with patients to sign consent to treat, observation, and other registration-related forms as needed.
  • Assist eligibility specialists in the verification of insurance information, Medicaid, and charity processing.
  • Run a daily census to determine patients with potential eligibility and determine benefits and liabilities for each patient.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) required within 6 months of hire.
