Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Appalachian Regional Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our computer network equipment and peripherals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that computer and telephone equipment installations meet vendor specifications and codes, and align with interior design layouts.
  • Coordinate the use, maintenance, and repair of computer network equipment, including scheduling and record-keeping.
  • Maintain a comprehensive schematic of the ARH computer network equipment to facilitate future expansions and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate the quality of computer network equipment and maintenance services, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide procedural training and support to colleagues.
  • Manage inventory of installed and replacement equipment, including location tracking and scheduled maintenance records.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest testing instrumentation and make recommendations for network monitoring and testing tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional travel (estimated 80% of time).
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Computer Science and two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful completion of courses in Data Communications.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Accountabilities
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records of equipment inventory, location, maintenance activity, and network configuration.
  • Ensure that computer network equipment is installed and maintained according to specifications and in the proper location.
  • Stay current with industry developments and recommend new services, products, and equipment to support business growth.
