Job Summary:

The Janitorial Assistant will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment at Estrella Mountain. This includes performing manual labor associated with daily cleaning of school classrooms, office space, and restrooms. The ideal candidate will have moderate physical strength and stamina, as well as the ability to operate basic mechanical cleaning equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Empty trash containers and recycle receptacles
• Dust mop, sweep, and mop floors
• Vacuum rugs and carpets
• Scrub and clean restroom fixtures and keep restrooms supplied with towels, toilet tissue, soap, and other items
• Dust and clean walls, doors, windows, woodwork, and other above-floor surfaces
• Clean and sanitize kitchen/break room area
• Dust, clean, and polish furniture
• Clean desk tops and tables in classrooms
• Clean door glass interior and exterior
• Clean inside and applicable outside window glass
• Police areas around outside of building

Requirements:

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
• Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength
• Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment
• Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions in the performance of the job
• Ability to establish and maintain working relations with supervisor and fellow workers

• Must be able to communicate in English verbally and written
• Applicant must pass E-Verify and background check
• Reliable transportation
