Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our therapy team, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and related activities in accordance with best practice guidelines, following an individualized plan of care based on evaluation and reassessment findings.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote quality patient care.
  • Assess patient and family needs regarding their level of understanding, ability to assimilate information, and the most desirable method of teaching.
  • Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record according to office policies and clinic guidelines in a timely manner.
  • Participate in staff development and attend health, safety, and training in-services and other obligatory activities.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree and current Texas license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Must be articulate, courteous, and supportive in dealing with clinical and administrative colleagues, patients, and parents, with the ability to honor confidentiality.
  • Two years of pediatric experience preferred.
