KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role encompasses a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to the following:

Customer Engagement:
Deliver exceptional customer service in a friendly and attentive manner. Welcome customers as they enter and express gratitude as they leave. Provide assistance and offer recommendations to enhance the customer experience.

Accurately process all transactions at the cash register, handling various payment methods with precision.

Operate multiple functions of service equipment, including fuel consoles and payment systems. Ensure punctuality and adhere to the company’s dress code.

Store Maintenance:

Uphold the cleanliness and condition of the store in accordance with company standards through various housekeeping tasks. Perform cleaning duties to maintain a tidy environment both inside and outside the store.

Regularly inspect store facilities and equipment for safety and cleanliness, reporting any maintenance needs to management.

Inventory Management:
Assist in ordering and purchasing merchandise, ensuring stock levels are maintained. Verify vendor deliveries and rotate stock appropriately. Display advertising and pricing materials effectively throughout the store.

Sales Oversight:
Monitor merchandise and cash flow to minimize shortages and control selling expenses. Aid in maintaining accurate inventory levels and assist with shift audits.

Financial Accountability:
Maintain precise records of cash, sales, and inventory, addressing any discrepancies with management. Adhere to company guidelines regarding product loss and spoilage.

Safety and Security:

Report all incidents, including injuries, theft, or property damage, to management. Address any unsafe or unethical situations promptly.



Administrative Duties:
Keep accurate records of shift activities and timekeeping. Participate in inventory assessments and attend required meetings. Maintain regular attendance and perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience in retail is advantageous.

Ability to operate various equipment, including cash registers and other service machines, is essential. Punctuality and effective communication skills are required. Basic arithmetic skills are preferred.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical requirements of this position include:

  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including coolers and outdoor environments.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds overhead and up to 50 pounds from ground to waist.
  • Proficiency in hand-eye coordination for tasks requiring manipulation of objects.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform various physical activities.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position primarily involves indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks such as cleaning and maintenance. Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels may occur.
