Environmental Conservation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Conservation Engineer to join our team at the County of Chester. This is a full-time position that requires approximately 25% of the time to be spent in the field, working in inclement weather and on rough terrain.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will participate in regional and statewide conservation programs, trainings, and provide technical support to staff as related to erosion and sedimentation, and post construction stormwater. They will have familiarity with traditional and emerging relevant engineering practices and all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Review Post Construction Stormwater Management Plans to determine compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Promote stormwater management and green stormwater infrastructure.
- Work with other District staff to develop new post construction stormwater management initiatives.
- Perform site visits and inspections.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering.
- Five years of experience in natural resource conservation or similar fields.
- Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists or a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the applicable licensing body of another state.
- A current and valid driver's license.
The County of Chester offers comprehensive benefits to its employees, including a salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
