Lifeguard Specialist

Job Summary:

Centers, LLC is a professional management firm that specializes in facility, operation, and program management for higher education. As a Lifeguard Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our clients and their patrons.

Responsibilities:

• Prevent and respond to emergency situations in a timely and effective manner.
• Identify and report any malfunctions or irregularities of equipment or facility.
• Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-service training to stay up-to-date on the latest safety protocols.
• Enforce all rules and regulations to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and their patrons.
• Lifeguard according to Facility, State Code, and Lifeguard Training standards.
• Supervise the proper use of swimming pools and supporting facilities.
• Maintain current certifications in lifeguard training, First Aid for the Professional Rescuer, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
• Perform pool maintenance duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard First Aid, AED, and CPR Training certification or ability to obtain.
• Previous lifeguard experience preferred.

Competencies:

• Basic computer competency.
• Ability to perform all lifeguard skills as required by American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Program.
• Successful completion of skills tests in swimming, rescue, and other areas as determined by the facility.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Pool environment with moderate to loud noise.
• Physical conditioning required.
