Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Ingersoll Rand. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling various models of products while working at a bench or on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts according to standard work / job breakdown sheets of unit being assembled, bill of materials and work order instructions, and assembly drawings.
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners according to torque specifications.
  • Operate pneumatic and manual presses to assist in assembly operation, which includes setting up the presses.
  • Set-up and operate identification equipment (stampers, labelers, etc.).
  • Test product for compliance to meet specifications using manual and automatic test equipment.
  • Paint, label and pack completed product for shipment.
  • Keep Team Lead informed of mechanical/machine malfunctions or any supplies/tools needed.
  • Follow all ISO procedures and safety rules, including wearing personal safety equipment.
Requirements
  • Minimum of six (6) months Assembly or related experience preferred.
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools and lift 35 lbs.
  • Mathematical skills: Basic shop math; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Language skills: read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, blueprints, drawings, etc. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and effectively present information to other employees.
