Job Overview

The Demand Planning and Inventory Manager role is a critical position at Consumer Goods Company, responsible for developing and implementing effective demand planning strategies to drive business growth. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify trends, and create accurate SKU-level demand plans.

About the Role

This position requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with experience in demand planning, sales forecasting, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail math calculations and be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain SKU-level demand plans that align with sales projections and inventory turn goals
  • Analyze sales data and customer trends to identify opportunities and risks
  • Develop and maintain rolling 6-12 month demand models by account at the SKU level
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate information is incorporated into demand plans
  • Track and report on top-line monthly forecast accuracy by account

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative disciplines or related field
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in demand planning, sales forecasting, and/or inventory planning and management for an apparel brand
  • Excellent analytical and scenario modeling skills
  • Familiarity with S&OP process

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and the company's budget for similar positions.
