Job Overview

This position is responsible for managing the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of electromechanical and electronic controls, liquid packaging, process distillation, thermodynamics, materials handling, water system design, and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans, conferring with management, and determining project schedules.
  • Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
  • Determine project specifications by studying product designs, customer requirements, and performance standards, completing technical studies, and preparing cost estimates.
  • Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests.
  • Control project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a closely related discipline, with 10 years of experience in manufacturing or process development engineering, including 5 years of project management experience leading projects.

  • Prior manufacturing or process development engineering experience is preferred.
  • Experience with an emphasis in Commissioning and Qualification is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other computer-based applications is essential.
  • Able to manage projects to completion on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulated industrial environment is preferred.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. AbbVie offers a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) plan eligibility.
