Overview
The Site Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the construction site, ensuring that all activities progress efficiently and effectively. This position involves setting priorities for tasks based on project timelines, requirements, and directives from management and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct oversight of all onsite subcontractors.
- Convey specific project requirements to all team members to ensure completion in a safe, timely, and profitable manner.
- Engage with clients or their representatives regarding project status and address any emerging issues.
- Interpret and apply relevant plans, specifications, environmental regulations, and safety codes on site.
- Facilitate essential meetings, including:
- Pre-Construction Meetings
- Safety Meetings
- Progress Schedule Meetings
- Inspections
- Store Openings
- Maintain accurate daily logs for each project, documenting tests, inspections, daily progress, site visitors, and any factors affecting the project timeline.
- Supervise daily operations of all personnel, subcontractors, and material suppliers on site.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate the project schedule effectively.
- Enforce all safety regulations and protocols.
- Identify and rectify potential hazards.
- Ensure all crew members and subcontractors utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Lead weekly safety meetings on the job site.
- Maintain an orderly job site, free from safety hazards.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license required.
- High school diploma or GED minimum.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Team-oriented with a strong emphasis on professionalism and appearance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Willingness to work after hours as needed.
- Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willing to travel as required.
- Capable of safely operating industry-specific tools and equipment.
- Possess or be willing to obtain necessary certifications.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with frequent bending and standing for 8-10 hours daily.
- Must meet company employment criteria, including passing a drug screening and background checks.
