Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist for Students with Complex Needs

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at a Special Education center in Burbank, IL. As a contract SLP, you will work with K-12 students who have developmental delays or disabilities that require individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailored classroom settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs and present evaluation results at IEP meetings
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders
  • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload and provide progress reports to parents
  • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License, issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Professional Educators' License (PEL), issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
