Riveon Mental Health and Recovery Careers is seeking a dedicated Day Treatment Addiction Counselor to support our Men's department.
Role Summary:
The Day Treatment Addiction Counselor plays a vital role in providing essential services related to addiction recovery. Responsibilities include conducting screenings, assessments, treatment planning, education, referrals, and maintaining thorough documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical services, including individual, group, and family counseling, as well as intensive outpatient services.
- Manage urinalysis requests and coordinate non-medical community residential services.
- Provide consultation, referral, intervention, and crisis management services.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' strengths and weaknesses, develop treatment plans, and explore alternative solutions.
- Oversee a caseload, orient clients to the program, and ensure effective communication with Residential and Recovery Housing staff.
- Engage families in the treatment process and deliver assigned program components.
- Maintain regular contact with referral sources and complete all necessary data collection for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
- Participate in Utilization Review and Peer Review programs on a monthly basis.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
General Requirements:
Candidates must comply with the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board's Code of Ethics, possess a strong understanding of addiction as a disease, and have a minimum of three years of relevant treatment or recovery experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with proficient computer skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Educational Background:
An Associate Degree or significant progress towards an Associate Degree with a focus on Addictions Treatment and Prevention is required. A Bachelor's Degree or higher is preferred.
Certification:
Required credentials include LCDCII, LPC, LSW, or a higher designation. Candidates with a CDCA credential and eligibility to upgrade licensure within six months may be considered based on experience.
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is expected, primarily local.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during daytime hours.
Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with licensure and experience.
