KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality Assurance:

  1. Uphold patient safety at all times.
  2. Adhere to safety protocols and accurately document all current precautions and changes in patient status.
  3. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients and maintain documentation in accordance with established guidelines and policies.
  4. Complete progress notes and reassessments as necessary, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  5. Administer effective treatment plans that facilitate patient progress towards their rehabilitation goals, documenting all procedures appropriately.
  6. Participate in departmental meetings during scheduled hours and review meeting minutes when absent. Attend educational sessions conducted by colleagues and students during work hours.

Customer Engagement:

  • Promptly respond to therapy referrals and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the team to review daily assignments and schedules.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding therapy services tailored to patient needs.

Resource Management:

  • Exhibit financial accountability by meeting patient scheduling requirements and productivity targets while utilizing time, supplies, and support staff efficiently.
  • Prepare and review the schedule for the following day.
  • Accurately process charges corresponding to the services rendered and the documented treatment durations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of a relevant degree from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a current or temporary license in Florida.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency or a willingness to learn.
  • Must hold a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to commencement and maintain it.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of and adherence to proper lifting techniques and body mechanics.
  • Ability to assist in lifting, standing, and supporting patients.
  • Capability to bend and stoop as required for patient care.
  • The position necessitates performing lifting tasks with specified weight and frequency.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective decision-making skills.
  • Able to interact positively with diverse individuals.
  • Capacity to concentrate under various demands and time constraints.
