Job Summary

As a Senior Underwriter at CRC Insurance Services, Inc., you will play a critical role in underwriting new and renewal business, approving policy changes, and maintaining workload according to Company guidelines and established internal and external procedures. You will provide leadership to a production/underwriting team and deliver high-quality professional service to Agents and Companies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Meet or exceed production goals as assigned by Management.
2. Underwrite new and renewal business, ensuring compliance with Company guidelines and internal procedures.
3. Supervise team members, ensuring all pertinent information is communicated and team goals are met.
4. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
5. Market all program products and services to clients, identifying new business opportunities.
6. Communicate effectively with producers regarding submissions and decisions for new or renewal business.
7. Approve and disapprove endorsement requests according to internal and Company guidelines.
8. Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with the firm's policies and procedures.
9. Analyze production, hit ratios, renewal retention ratios, and spread of risk to minimize risk and predict future success.
10. Review and handle policy servicing requests, including endorsements, audits, and certificate requests.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent insurance designation required.
2. Five years of experience as an active Underwriter or seven years of experience in the insurance industry.
3. Must be licensed in corresponding areas of insurance as necessary.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
6. Strong leadership and team-playing skills.
7. Ability to develop, foster, and maintain excellent working relationships with agencies and clients.
8. Must have knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating.
9. Ability to use company automation, including Windows, Delphi, Word, and DocuCorp.
