Position Overview
The X-Ray Imaging Technologist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services. Key responsibilities include:
• Efficiently capturing high-resolution X-ray images in accordance with established protocols.
• Accurately documenting patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR) promptly.
Core Responsibilities
• Conducting standard X-ray examinations within the recommended timeframes:
- Chest X-ray: 3 minutes
- Extremity X-ray: 3-5 minutes per order
- Spinal X-ray: 4-6 minutes
- Abdomen X-ray: 4-6 minutes
• Utilizing internal imaging and care coordination software to ensure proper documentation and communication of imaging studies among healthcare providers.
• Managing multiple patient documentation tasks efficiently.
• Coordinating necessary diagnostic tests and referrals for follow-up care.
• Assisting physicians with medical procedures within the scope of practice.
• Engaging with patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers as needed.
• Supporting licensed practitioners with CLIA waived tests and other clinical tasks.
• Maintaining an inventory of materials for imaging services.
• Keeping a comprehensive quality assurance log and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Providing compassionate patient care and support.
• Assisting with the training of new staff members.
Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• 4-6 months of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in patient positioning and X-ray procedures, with a focus on minimizing radiation exposure.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with various computer systems and software.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to patient care.
• Bilingual skills are preferred based on location.

This position may involve lifting moderate weights and requires extensive computer use.
