About the Role

A Senior System Engineer at Computacenter is a key position within the service department, responsible for resolving escalated service issues, coaching other engineers to resolutions, engineering and implementing complex projects, and maintaining and overseeing the technology of their assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical services and support for network infrastructure, cloud services, and Microsoft-related technologies.
  • Work on escalated support issues related to WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, security, and remote access solutions.
  • Perform network assessments, security audits, and new client consultations.
  • Participate in the administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system.
  • Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure.
  • Communicate with customers as required, keeping them informed of incident progress and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
  • Lead and train all site technical resources as needed.
  • Demonstrate analytical and systematic approach to resolving complex problems and assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role or 3 years of experience working in Managed Services.
  • Experience with security.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
