Job Summary

The Inpatient Unit Hospice Aide plays a vital role in providing compassionate care to patients and their families. As a member of the Compassus team, you will be responsible for upholding the company's values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment at all times.
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as laundry, linen management, and supply replenishment.
  • Support family members and loved ones during difficult times, including post-mortem care.
  • Collaborate with the Hospice Director of Clinical Services to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the Inpatient Unit.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One to three months of related experience or training highly preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) highly preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • State-specific certifications and licenses as required.
Work Environment

The Inpatient Unit Hospice Aide will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are essential, as well as the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

Exposure to bodily fluids, infectious diseases, and conditions typical to the field is expected. Routine use of standard medical equipment and tools associated with clinical care is essential.
