We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Halifax Health – Medical Center of Port Orange. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to develop their skills and expertise in critical care nursing.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position that requires working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and excellent communication skills.
  • As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and contributing to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and other complex medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, including assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and evaluations.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by physicians and according to established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.

Requirements:

  • A current Florida RN license or compact state license.
  • BSN degree from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ year of experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an ICU setting.
  • Advanced life support certifications (ACLS, PALS, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
