Job Summary

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Farmington Hills Hospital. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient anesthesia care to patients of all ages under the medical direction of anesthesiologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare anesthetizing locations for safe administration of anesthesia
  • Conduct preoperative assessments and participate in the development of anesthesia care plans
  • Induce, maintain, and emerge patients from general anesthesia in operating rooms and off-site locations
  • Manage local, regional, and conscious sedation techniques in operating rooms and off-site locations
  • Perform peri-anesthetic invasive and noninvasive monitoring and place peripheral venous and arterial lines
  • Participate in post-operative follow-up, including quality improvement documentation and reporting
  • Respond to CPR and airway emergencies and perform lifesaving measures
  • Function as a clinical preceptor to students, observing and evaluating their clinical performance
  • Participate in continuing education programs and departmental meetings
  • Support quality and safety initiatives, including PI processes, survey participation, and committee membership
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia
  • Participation in approximately 150 anesthetic procedures or more in the previous two years
  • Current Michigan RN licensure and Nurse Specialty Certification
  • Current Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA)
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certification
  • Neonatal resuscitation certification preferred
