Key Responsibilities:

Physical Therapist Duties:

Deliver physical therapy and associated services to patients while fostering positive interactions with facilities and clients, adhering to the principles and practices of physical therapy and Reliant Rehabilitation standards.

Ensure high-quality patient care through screening and evaluation, developing initial and ongoing treatment plans, discharge planning, supervising assistants and Rehab Techs, and managing cases.

Maintain professional conduct that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation's dedication to quality and service in all client interactions, establishing rapport with facilities and clients.

Comply with all state and federal regulations governing physical therapy.

Essential Functions:
- Enhance patient functionality and skills through the provision, direction, and oversight of physical therapy services.
- Offer consultation and clinical supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).

- Directly supervise PTAs and Rehab Techs in skilled tasks during both group and individual treatments, promoting efficient resource utilization and the ongoing development of clinical skills in accordance with State Practice Acts, OBRA, and Reliant Rehabilitation policies.

- Develop a robust physical therapy program.

- Improve clinical expertise and management skills through collaboration with managers, therapists, and other professionals, as well as through self-study and continuing education.

- Maintain a valid state license and stay informed about relevant issues in the physical therapy profession and healthcare environment.

- Understand various payment models related to billing and treatment guidelines, ensuring clinically appropriate delivery methods.

- Provide quality care with realistic goals and outcomes within established guidelines.
- Adhere to infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols within facilities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending English, including instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports.

Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: Graduate of an APTA accredited physical therapy program.

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in clinical documentation and computer literacy.

- Basic Internet navigation skills.

Certificates and Licenses: Valid state license as a physical therapist.
