Job SummaryWe are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, working under the supervision of a registered nurse. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, as well as performing technician duties such as setting up hemodialysis machines and educating patients on kidney dialysis-related topics.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Perform technician duties, such as setting up hemodialysis machines and educating patients on kidney dialysis-related topics
- Work under the supervision of a registered nurse to ensure the highest level of patient care
- Build long-term relationships with patients and their families, providing empathetic and compassionate care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be comfortable working around blood and needles
- Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb
- Physical and mental ability to work long hours on your feet
- Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed
