Position Overview

The Milwaukee Repertory Theater is in search of dedicated Customer Experience Representatives (CERS) for our upcoming season. CERS will be trained to operate at the Guest Services Desk and assist in our retail space, ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons. Additionally, CERS will represent Milwaukee Rep during our festive productions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to all guests visiting Milwaukee Rep.
  • Familiarize yourself with essential information regarding productions and programs to effectively assist guests and staff.
  • Participate in emergency procedures as part of the Front of House team, prioritizing the safety of guests and staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of public spaces, including theaters, lobbies, restrooms, and other common areas.
  • Ensure the Gift Shop is well-stocked and presentable for visitors.
  • Oversee lobby displays and seating arrangements, ensuring everything is in order before, during, and after performances.
  • Assist guests with ticket scanning and provide support for assistive listening devices.
  • Engage with guests in the Gift Shop, addressing inquiries and facilitating purchases.
  • Communicate guest feedback to management to enhance service quality.
  • Help latecomers find their seats and assist guests with accessibility needs.
  • Complete end-of-shift reports, including Gift Shop transactions.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions and staff meetings.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma (or GED); college experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience in customer service, particularly in events or performing arts, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office in a PC setting.
  • Strong customer service abilities are essential.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain composed and efficient in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for resolving guest concerns amicably.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and tackle challenges effectively.
  • Capable of independent work while also being a collaborative team player.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Availability for evening and weekend shifts is necessary.
