Senior Director of Dining Services Manager

Position Title: Senior Director of Dining Services
Job Summary:
As a Senior Director of Dining Services, you will oversee the management of multiple K-12 schools within a district or across districts. You will serve as the primary point of contact for school administrators responsible for foodservice, lead teams within assigned accounts, and manage overall operations. Your goal will be to achieve operational and financial objectives in a dynamic environment, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, maintaining strong client relationships, and upholding our mission to provide exceptional foodservice experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and inspire diverse teams at large accounts or multiple accounts to deliver top-notch service to clients, students, and the community.
- Drive and develop self and team at assigned accounts towards building strong relationships with clients and achieving key performance indicators (profitability, safety, engagement, etc.).
- May participate in district leadership teams and engage in ongoing conversations with peers to share best practices, mitigate risks, champion diversity, and build community.
- Ensure decisions are weighed for risk/reward and short/long-term implications, gathering input from teams and partners.
- Foster a culture of transparency, understanding, education, safety, and accountability.
- Serve as the representative/brand ambassador of the Flik Independent School Dining team within districts and the community, attending key client and community events.
- Ensure client needs are met or exceeded, retaining accounts, finding cross-sell opportunities, and assisting in rebid processes as directed.
- Support functional areas, including safety, marketing, nutrition, and culinary.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, federal, and company policies, conducting unit audits to ensure conformance for key areas (e.g., food storage, sanitation).
- Maintain compliance with USDA regulations and guidance for all applicable meal and retail programs, completing all required reporting on time.
- Champion development within accounts and have a full understanding of all roles within operations, conducting performance evaluations, and succession planning for accounts.
- Own financial results for accounts, working to ensure accuracy for reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Ensure consistent and fair administration of all policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational minimum and work experience per USDA Professional Standards for assigned accounts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of three (3) years of management experience, preferably in foodservice, hospitality management, plant operations management, environmental services, laundry, or other Support Services areas.
- Well-versed in foodservice management with a proven track record of success, ideally in K-12 foodservice.
- Proven track record of leading a business and a team, strong customer service, and good business and financial acumen.
- Demonstrates strong initiative, critical thinking, ownership, communications (listening, written, and verbal), multi-tasking, prioritization, and organization skills.
- Champions the inclusion mindset and is proactive, positive, professional, and resilient.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and POS software.
