We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Hospice Aide to join our team at PruittHealth Hospice in Gainesville. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families during a challenging time.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care services to patients, including bathing, oral hygiene, skin care, and hair care.
- Coordinate care with the primary nurse and director of health services to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Attend regular meetings of the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Report patient progress and problems to supervisory personnel and follow established procedures for handling medical emergencies.
- Provide optimal care and dignity for patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding of the terminally ill and their families.
- Document services rendered according to agency policy and procedures.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups, handle confidential matters, and work a flexible schedule.
- Commitment to the Hospice concept and standards, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to document services rendered and follow established procedures.
