The Role
This Correctional Officer position is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working in a corrections setting. As a Correctional Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our facility and its residents.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and maintain security and control of inmates within and during movement between specific areas
- Supervise inmate work details both inside and outside the secure perimeters of the jail facility
- Maintain familiarity with up-to-date emergency procedures
- Assist in prevention of contraband into the facility
- Participate in searches of inmate housing units, work, and recreational areas as needed
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $42,000 per year, plus benefits including medical, dental, prescription, vision health insurance coverage, state retirement, paid holiday, personal time off, and sick leave.
