Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Driver-Class B CDL to join our team at Builders FirstSource. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating delivery vehicles and/or operating truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver customer orders to specified delivery sites, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Load and secure products, materials, or supplies inside delivery vehicles, adhering to safety and compliance regulations.
  • Verify order details and maintain logs of delivery duties, including amounts and/or weights of items, mileage, and locations of deliveries.
  • Act as a customer service liaison between the company and site customers, handling concerns and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles, performing routine safety checks to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver's license, and a Class B CDL license.
  • A minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience, with 2 years of CDL driving experience strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, Class B CDL license, pass MVR report, obtain a DOT medical card, basic math and measurement skills, and ability to read and speak the English language.
Work Environment

The physical demands of this role include lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds frequently, with occasional lifting and carrying of up to 200 pounds with assistance. You must be able to physically operate delivery vehicles, climb up and down into the cab, twist torso for 360-degree visibility, and use arms to operate controls.
