Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Universal Banker to join our team at Truist. As a key member of our banking team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client experiences, building strong relationships, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a distinctive client experience by engaging clients with a smile, facilitating courteous conversation, and conducting complex and standardized transactions.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions, including ATMs, online and mobile banking, to enhance their service experience.
  • Support team sales process by participating in client outreach, checking for client offers, and identifying client needs or opportunities.
  • Understand the importance of Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to ensure seamless delivery of Truist expertise and solutions for clients' unique needs.
  • Participate fully in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge to better serve consumer and business clients by attending sales, service, and product knowledge meetings and training classes.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of all changes in policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
  • Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services to clients and prospects.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience.
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation.
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience.
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management, and loss prevention.
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building.
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
