Job Summary

Mission Linen Supply is seeking a Production Soil Sorter to join our team. As a key member of our production staff, you will be responsible for sorting and processing laundry in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities
  • Operate press equipment to process laundry in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Sort and classify laundry items according to route and sequence.
  • Maintain production floor distribution to ensure smooth operations.
  • Shake, sort, and lay out items prior to pressing.
  • Classify and lay out items for pressing, including industrial shirts and executive dress shirts.
  • Separate soil pick-up tickets and check for needed repairs on items.
  • Lift garments and/or linen onto line storage system and trolley items for truck pick-up.
  • Load trollies into trailers and ensure colleagues practice safety procedures at all times.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Experience working with plant equipment/machinery highly desired.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to stand for long periods of time. The noise level is usually loud, and the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
