Diesel Engine Repair Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Engine Repair Specialist to join our team at Interstate Companies Inc. in Williston, North Dakota. The successful candidate will have experience working on diesel engines and related components, with a focus on repair and maintenance.
This is a rotational position that involves traveling to various facilities to perform maintenance work for extended periods and then returning home for days off. The rotation program offers a travel allowance, accommodations, and meal allowances, providing a great benefit to employees who want to maintain their place of residence.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Freightliner, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT products, MTU, and other related components and systems. Additionally, they should be proficient in all aspects of frac truck maintenance and repair, big bore engines, transmissions, and other related components and systems.
Salary Range: $28.00-$42.00/hour D.O.E.
Job Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair complex diesel engine conditions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines and components.
- Communicate effectively with peers, foremen, and service teams regarding repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure quality control work is performed to meet maximum customer satisfaction.
- Keep accurate records and submit paperwork upon completion.
- Maintain certification requirements.
- Valid driver's license (bonus compensation for CDL holders).
- Good work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability.
- Excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.
- Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, and International is a plus.
- Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: hydraulics, brakes, suspension, manual transmissions, drive trains, and automatic transmissions.
- Must be physically able to lift and work without restrictions.
- Technical degree or certification is a plus.
