Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Appointment Coordination: Coordinate and schedule all appointments, both in the office and hospital surgery center, and manage the expectations of all same-day appointments.
- Communication: Handle all incoming communications, including messages, mail, faxes, and ensure reliable and consistent coverage for all communications.
- Pre-Registration: Prepare for upcoming visits by completing all tasks that can be done before the patient arrives, including pre-registration functions.
- Financial Transactions: Identify copays and previous balances, collect payments at the time of service, and act as a liaison between the patient and SBO for billing inquiries.
- Administrative Support: Maintain a paperless and organized work environment, update patient registries in EPIC, and provide administrative support to team members.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in the care team and cross-functional team quality improvement process.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality in all interactions with patients and uphold policies and procedures.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited school.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of computer input, ability to perform basic clerical functions, comprehend medical terminology, and good spelling and number skills.
