About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team at Vaco. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing business intelligence solutions that drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop state-of-the-art analytic tools using Power BI and provide complex analysis, designs, and implements business intelligence and reporting solutions.
  • Implement disruptive technologies focused on transforming the way we operate and leverage data.
  • Build and maintain the reporting data model and collaborate with the Engineering team to create views, SQL scripts, and other data-related tasks.
  • Work closely with leaders in Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Operations, and Finance to develop intelligent solutions and reports.
  • Use Business Intelligence and visualization software to empower non-technical, internal customers to drive their own analytics and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand and apply changes/modifications impacting data warehouse.
  • Monitor ETL processes, system audits, Dashboard Reporting, and Presentation Layer functions and performance, and proactively fix issues as found.
Requirements and Education
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work well independently and as a team member.
  • Time management skills and proven ability to prioritize heavy workload and meet deadlines.
  • Graduate of a four-year college or university or appropriate combination of experience and education.
  • 3 years of analytic experience or other relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft stack of reporting and business intelligence tools, including SQL Server, SSRS, and Power BI.
  • Experience in database management, operations, and development, namely with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL development.
  • Experience with DAX development.
  • Experience with Data and Process Modeling.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to distill complex ideas into concise and accurate narratives.
Additional Preferred Skills
  • Competence with Python, .Net, or JavaScript development.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodology.
  • Knowledge of CRM applications such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, or Salesforce.
  • Proficient in Excel.
