Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Adult ICU department.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in the Adult ICU, including airway management, medication administration, and ventilator management.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and interpret results to diagnose and treat respiratory disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and hospital performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • 3+ years of experience in ICU respiratory care.
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, practices, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Cerner documentation system.
  • Knowledge of Hamilton G5 and Philips V60 equipment.
  • Experience in trauma, teaching hospital, or ER settings.
