Key Responsibilities*

  • Conducts diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring accurate patient clinical history is documented and exams are performed in accordance with patient identification protocols.
  • Employs appropriate workflow processes using relevant applications and adheres to radiation safety protocols for both patients and self.
  • Positions patients correctly to achieve optimal anatomical representation while considering their condition and capabilities.
  • Operates radiographic equipment in line with established protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images, particularly for pediatric patients requiring low-dose imaging.
  • Assists Radiologists in fluoroscopy settings, adhering to guidelines and proper use of contrast media as necessary.
  • Utilizes portable imaging equipment in surgical environments when required, ensuring sterile techniques are followed.
  • Conducts mobile examinations in various clinical settings as needed.
  • Demonstrates excellent guest relations skills in alignment with the Patient and Families First Principles.
  • Inputs and manages data within the relevant healthcare systems.
  • Reviews orders for all radiographic examinations.
  • Educates and oversees compliance with mandatory competencies related to patient safety, infection control, and confidentiality.
  • Maintains current BCLS certification and ARRT registry.
  • Collaborates effectively as a team member, assisting across various modalities and clinical environments.
  • Adheres to infection control protocols, employing aseptic techniques and universal precautions.

Required Qualifications*

  • Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent educational experience.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or eligibility for registration.
  • Experience in managing patients of all ages, with a strong understanding of age-appropriate communication and safety protocols.
  • Ability to evaluate work processes to ensure accurate patient identification and quality imaging.
  • Adequate physical skills necessary for safe healthcare delivery.
  • Auditory and visual skills to monitor patient safety and assess needs effectively.
  • Cognitive skills sufficient for patient assessment and equipment operation.
  • Proven customer service skills, demonstrating critical thinking and professionalism.
  • A strong record of reliable attendance.

Desired Qualifications*

BLS Certification and ARRT registration or the ability to obtain these credentials.
