Success in this role hinges on effective collaboration with various stakeholders, including staff, faculty, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
· Development of Compensation Programs: Assist in the creation, execution, and upkeep of extensive compensation programs that align with institutional objectives and industry standards.
· Market Analysis and Equity Assessment: Conduct thorough market assessments and internal equity evaluations to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
· Participation in Salary Surveys: Engage in salary surveys utilizing market pricing systems to maintain up-to-date market data for informed compensation decisions.
· Job Description Evaluation: Collaborate with various departments to assess and refine job descriptions, ensuring they align with job structures and responsibilities.
· Monitoring Compensation Trends and Compliance: Stay informed about compensation trends, regulatory updates, and best practices to recommend ongoing enhancements.
· Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize HRIS and other information systems to analyze substantial data sets, employing tools such as pivot tables to identify trends, derive insights, and generate reports and visualizations.
· Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with colleagues, faculty, leadership, and team members to support effective compensation strategies.
· Special Projects: Assist with various projects and analyses as needed to support the organization's compensation objectives.
· Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related tasks as assigned to support the team and organization.
Salary Range: $53,900 - $64,900
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in compensation or a related area. Work experience cannot substitute for the educational requirement.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
·Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities.
·Proficiency in spreadsheet software and data analysis tools.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
·Knowledge of compensation principles and labor market trends.
·Familiarity with HR processes and compliance requirements.
