Position Overview:
This role necessitates U.S. Citizenship (H1B, F1, or Green Card/Permanent Resident applications are not accepted), a DoD Security Clearance, and the capability to work onsite, as remote or telework options are unavailable.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Systems Engineering Department (SED) at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) is responsible for systems engineering, acquisition engineering leadership, and technical analysis to support Naval Aviation and Weapons Program technical baseline development. This encompasses systems engineering technical domain efforts in Research and Development (R&D), integration, testing, production, deployment, and sustainment.
- Direct systems engineering support is provided across specialized technical domains throughout the entire lifecycle of weapon systems, from concept development to disposal, applicable to all Naval Aircraft, including Tactical, Vertical Lift, Maritime, UAVs, Targets, and advanced weaponry.
- The SED seeks systems engineering support for weapons systems across various platforms managed by Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and organized by Program Management Air (PMAs) at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).
- We are open to hiring multiple experience levels (Junior/Journeyman/Senior) that align with relevant education, certifications, and experience.
- We encourage current incumbents on the SED contract and other interested candidates to consider applying.
- Some positions may offer telework options.
- U.S. Citizenship is a requirement.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- An Associate's Degree in a STEM field is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Ability to provide technical assistance to computer users.
- Proficient in addressing inquiries or resolving computer-related issues for clients, whether in person, via telephone, or electronically.
- May assist with the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.
