About the Role:


The Direct Care Worker (DCW) is responsible for providing personal care and homemaker/companion services to clients with various needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide companionship and engage in activities with clients, such as reading, watching movies, or playing games
  • Prepare and serve meals, as well as assist with feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and changing bed linens
  • Assist clients with medication management, under the supervision of a registered nurse

Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CPR certification
  • Completion of a state-approved Direct Care Worker or Home Health Aide course
  • Listing in good standing on the Pennsylvania Aide Registry
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
