Admissions/Night Charge Clerk, Part Time

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admissions/Night Charge Clerk to join our Admissions Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing inpatient admissions, registrations, and charge entry functions.

1. Arrange for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and registration of individuals for hospital-based outpatient care, testing, or procedures.
2. Collect and accurately enter patient demographics and insurance information into the ADT system.
3. Perform duties in reception, cashiering, and switchboard functions.
4. Pre-authorize outpatient services as needed.
5. Verify insurance information through web-based sites or products.
6. Collect deposits, copayments, deductibles, and other patient liabilities.
7. Participate in monthly staff meetings, training sessions, and annual education sessions.
8. Adhere to compliance regulations, including EMTALA, HIPAA, and MSP.
9. Work effectively in a high-traffic work environment with shared workspace.
10. Perform charge capture, charge entry, charge corrections, and billing functions accurately and timely.

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of insurance and billing procedures.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
