About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Lam Research. As a key member of our Global Products Group, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of thermal and flow simulation models for design validation and optimization.
  • Conduct detailed analysis, including structural, finite element analysis (FEA), thermal, heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid and gas flow dynamics, and manufacturability to properly specify designs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure solutions can be manufactured with high-quality, cost-optimized, and to requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 6+ years' experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skills.
  • Highly proficient in Ansys fluids/mechanical, Simcenter 3D and/or other equivalent tools.
  • Experience with 3D design tools such as CREO, Siemens NX, ProE, SolidWorks, and others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Semiconductor industry is a plus.
  • Experience in leading projects, or problem solving while managing time and multiple priorities.
  • Familiar with simulation DOEs and UDF- user define function package.

Lam offers a competitive salary range for this position: $98, $216, in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
