Aerial Critical Care Nurse
We are seeking an Aerial Critical Care Nurse to join our dedicated team of air medical professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transport of patients between medical facilities and during emergency scene responses. Our commitment to safety and high-quality patient care is paramount, and you will be part of a professional team that upholds rigorous safety standards for both our crew and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate each scenario to determine the most effective approach for supporting, monitoring, and treating patients in critical conditions.
- Employ critical thinking abilities to manage both adult and pediatric patients who are critically ill or injured, while adhering to physicians' directives.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and well-equipped aircraft environment, conducting regular equipment checks and complying with safety protocols.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, healthcare facilities, and partners in a professional manner.
- Provide detailed shift change information to the incoming team and follow established protocols to maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Maintain all required certifications and engage in ongoing training necessary for the role.
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to meeting our elevated standards in safety and service.
- A minimum of three years of experience in an emergency or critical care environment.
- Previous flight experience is preferred.
- Active RN license in the states serviced by the assigned area.
- EMT Certification in applicable state(s).
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required prior to flight status (Trauma certification must be obtained within six months of hire).
- Advanced certifications (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) are preferred and must be obtained within twelve months of hire.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and ITLS/PHTLS are preferred.
