This position provides an opportunity to engage with state-of-the-art technology within a flourishing sector. The CNC Mill Machine Operator will be tasked with operating CNC Lathes under guidance to produce aerospace components according to specified designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC Lathes equipped with Fanuc Controls.
- Conduct daily operations of CNC lathes.
- Inspect parts as they are produced, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Perform deburring as necessary during the manufacturing process.
- Acquire fundamental knowledge of commonly used M and G codes.
- Receive training in blueprint interpretation.
- Adhere to schedules established by supervisors.
- Learn to utilize micrometers and other precision measurement tools.
- Monitor machine operations and identify any out-of-tolerance components.
- Meet production standards as outlined in job estimates.
- Develop troubleshooting skills for any arising issues.
- Follow setup sheets and operational instructions diligently.
- Comply with all 5S processes implemented in the workplace.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required.
- Vocational training is advantageous.
- College-level coursework is a plus.
- Previous on-the-job training is preferred.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Familiarity with Boeing BAC specifications is beneficial.
- Experience in the aerospace sector is a plus.
- Ability to calculate plating tolerances for diameters and threads.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
Additional Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Capability to maintain a tolerance of .0001.
- Strong attention to detail.
Language Proficiency:
Must be able to read, write, analyze, and interpret work instructions, drawings, and procedural manuals in English. Effective communication skills in English are essential.
Mathematical Skills:
A solid understanding of geometry is crucial. Must be able to convert metric to imperial measurements and perform decimal to fraction conversions accurately.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions presented in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds, reaching, carrying, pushing, pulling, writing, typing, standing, walking, bending, and squatting. Mental and visual acuity is required to maintain accuracy in work.
Work Environment:
Work may occur in an office setting or within the manufacturing area, necessitating the use of safety glasses and hearing protection. Exposure to varying degrees of heat, cold, dust, dirt, noise, odors, and coolant vapors may be encountered.
Job Type: Full-time, 1st Shift
Compensation: Competitive pay with expected hours of 40 per week. This role includes benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Term Life, Short-Term Disability, and a Retirement Plan. Employees are also entitled to accrue and utilize paid sick and safe leave.
