Job Summary:The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in radiology and possess a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. You will be responsible for preparing patients for imaging procedures, positioning patients correctly, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Responsibilities:- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as needed
- Position patients correctly and adjust imaging equipment to optimal settings
- Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure and take appropriate protection precautions
- Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physician review
- Maintain accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system
- 1 year of experience in radiology
- ARRT (R) National Certification
- BLS and state-specific licensing when required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
