Position Overview: This role is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the performance of the Warehouse, Hostling, and Administrative teams within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate strategic initiatives and execute tactical plans aimed at boosting profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency across the company's activities.
  • Lead and manage the Warehouse and Delivery teams to ensure prompt order fulfillment, precise inventory management, timely receipt and stocking of products, cost-effective shipping solutions, and efficient handling of returns.
  • Ensure the facility and equipment are well-maintained and operationally effective.
  • Oversee personnel management and systems related to warehouse operations and inventory oversight, implementing enhanced processes to optimize workflow and return on investment.
  • Engage regularly with the VP of Sales and department heads to align operational priorities with the overall company strategy.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics teams to manage inventory transfers efficiently.
  • Continuously seek out and propose process improvements for consideration.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent experience is preferred, but not mandatory. A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • At least eight years of relevant experience in a distribution setting.
  • Strong technical, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills, including conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proven capability in analyzing and re-engineering operations, formulating policies, and developing new strategies.
  • Ability to make administrative decisions that foster collaboration and a positive work environment.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating multiple projects related to facilities and personnel management.
  • Familiarity with budget preparation and financial oversight.
  • Proficient in interacting with individuals at all organizational levels and the public.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position require the employee to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers for various tasks. The employee may occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 100 pounds.
