Position Overview

The Rehabilitation Therapy Aide role is available within a vibrant and engaging sports medicine and orthopedic facility. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong dedication to both personal and professional development, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

We seek a motivated and diligent individual who is passionate about patient interaction and is committed to enhancing the quality of healthcare and customer service in the field of Physical Therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Observe and apply knowledge related to therapeutic assessments and treatments for a diverse range of sports and orthopedic conditions.

- Assist in the delivery of physical therapy care by preparing the treatment area, patients, equipment, and materials, while performing procedures under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist or physical therapy assistant.

- Set up the treatment room for patient sessions by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

- Prepare patients for therapy by providing a welcoming atmosphere, assisting them with appropriate apparel, and ensuring their comfort.

- Address patient inquiries and concerns to provide reassurance and information.

- Support patient treatment by applying therapeutic modalities such as heat and ice packs, guiding patients in the gym, assisting with exercise equipment, monitoring movements, tracking activity levels, measuring mobility, and facilitating prescribed exercises and strengthening routines.

- Educate patients on the proper use of equipment and exercise techniques.

- Uphold patient confidentiality and safeguard operations by maintaining the privacy of sensitive information.

- Ensure a safe and sanitary work environment by following all relevant procedures, rules, and regulations.

- Provide necessary equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering items to the treatment area, positioning equipment for therapist accessibility, and assisting patients with equipment setup.

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science is preferred.

- A minimum of 6 months of related experience is preferred.

- CPR Certification is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

- The ability to regularly or occasionally lift and carry weights ranging from 25 to 50 pounds is necessary.
