As a key member of our Office of Information Technology, you will play a critical role in supporting the installation and maintenance of network infrastructure technology across all SRSU campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain hardware, software, and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install, service, and support desktop computers, peripherals, and multimedia systems.
  • Develop training and troubleshooting documentation to support end-users.
  • Engage in personal education, training, and staff development activities to enhance technical skills.
  • Provide user application support and training to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Assist in inventory management to maintain accurate records of equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate issues and concerns expressed by end-users to ensure prompt resolution.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Basic analytical and computer skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills to interact with end-users and technical staff.
  • Ability to organize and work effectively with an understanding of policies and procedures.
What We Offer

As a Network Services Intern at Sul Ross State University, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in network infrastructure support and development. You will work closely with our Director of Network Services and other technical staff to deliver high-quality services to our campus community. Additionally, you will participate in the Title III STEM Internship Program, which provides professional development tools, resume building, and interview practices to help you succeed in your career.
