We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in stepdown, progressive care, ICU, procedural, or emergency department settings. Cardiac telemetry experience is highly desirable.
Compensation:
Hourly rate of $44, with additional night shift differential. Full-time night shift RNs may also participate in the night shift incentive pay program upon successful completion of orientation.
Unit Description:
The position is located in a 16-bed unit that provides care for both cardiac procedural step-down and medical-surgical patients. The focus is primarily on post-procedure patients who require overnight observation following interventions such as cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, bronchoscopy, and gastrointestinal procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care at a proficient level, adhering to the applicable scope and standards of practice in alignment with the organization's policies and mission.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-procedure assessments, evaluations, and patient education.
- Respond effectively to life-threatening situations, utilizing established nursing standards and treatment protocols.
- Manage critical and high-pressure situations with efficiency and composure.
- Provide nursing care in a technically complex environment, requiring critical thinking and decisive judgment.
- Work with minimal supervision, demonstrating the ability to make sound clinical decisions.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program, particularly if less than 3 years of experience.
